Get to know me

I am running for California’s 16th Congressional District to provide a new voice for the Central Valley. I am the only candidate who can deliver results and create lasting change. I am fighting to ease the burden on the middle class while helping small business create jobs. I will lead the charge to restore water infrastructure, reform immigration, while standing beside public safety. My forward looking vision is centered around responsible investment in education and advancing innovation in the learning process for kids. I will be a results-oriented pragmatist who is guided by common sense.

I was raised in Fresno where my family instilled a strong work ethic. As a child, I worked at my parent’s Asian grocery store. I attended public school and was class Valedictorian at Sunnyside High School in Fresno. I was elected student body president at Stanford University where I earned my degree. I graduated from Yale University school of Management with an MBA.

I worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee and know how to fix what’s broken in Washington D.C. I am a committed problem solver, with a passion for the needs of ordinary working families. I am a leader guided by common sense who will put kids first, standing for investment in education that promotes learning innovation.
